About your handsome traveller!

Some facts about me!
Some facts about me!
Born and raised in the fine lands of Nottinghamshire, I left my dear esteemed father's estate when I became an adolescent to pursue higher education. Cambridge welcomed me with open arms, and in time I found myself under the wing of one prestigious surgeon, Mr. James Bates. Bates, my father's monthly allowances, and my unmatched wits all helped me thrive.
It was in Cambridge that I learned the ropes of navigation. Ah, I remember it as if it was yesterday; it had not been long since I left Mr. Bates when I developed an unquenchable thirst for the unknown, for everything that resided past the far edge of the sea. I needed to dip my toes into the realm of navigation, sailing, learning more and more about ships, not to mention I had to dive into other areas and parts of mathematics I had not studied yet. Thus, I went back to my father's place where he aided me in making sure I would continue with my studies. It took me another two more years until I finally felt like I was ready to set sail and explore uncharted lands. Luckily for me, my mentor Mr. Bates aided me in this process, and in no time I was aboard a ship to commit myself to the one profession I had originally chosen: I became Capt. Abraham Pannel's surgeon.
For many years I voyaged with Pannel's Swallow, performing the duty of a surgeon. Voyaging for the first time was an experience like no other, I tell you. There were times where I would gaze into the troubled waters, inhale the saline and feel right at home! It would also come to the detriment of the sailors on the ship though, for sometimes I would stop amidst a surgery and become entranced by the ebb and flow of the mystical waters surrounding me. Granted, the desperate screams and shrieks of the bleeding man next to me would bring me back to the real world, but that was not enough to deter me from loving the life of a voyager.
What you will find in this blog is but a recount of my most memorable experiences across the seven seas. So sit back and enjoy this most magnificent blog, brought to you by yours truly!
